Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation is incredibly grateful to the Sandhar family for their continued support in helping save lives. According to Gaurav Sandhar, “our family is very excited to see the the ventilator arrive to the NICU and look forward to seeing it in use. The NICU team in the Abbotsford Regional Hospital is fantastic and we know it will be a big help”.

For philanthropists James and Pamela Braun giving back to the community is always a priority. In a statement, the couple said, “we have been fortunate enough to give back and to teach our children to give as well. You need to recognise that you can’t take the money with you, it’s kind of nice to give when you are alive”. Having recently been a patient-in-care at ARH, James says, “we had an incentive to make this a priority. We invest in a lot of places and the hospital is on the top”.

Adam Gaumont, senior accountant at Grant Thornton, states, “as a proud member of the Abbotsford community, our decision to support the Abbotsford Regional Hospital was driven by the importance of having a healthy community and to give some much needed support to those who selflessly help the ill. Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improve Abbotsford strengthens our civic bonds and serves as an inspiration to us all”.

“I am writing to give a huge thank you for the donation from the hospital foundation that helped support the summer recreation program with the Fraser East Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) Program!  This summer programming helps promote our clients’ recovery by giving them the opportunity to form social connections, learn about the benefits of recreation for healthy lifestyle and recovery, engage with staff, and share/learn from their individual lived experiences.  Without your support for our programming, the number of clients invited to our groups would have been limited.  Your support allows for us to give fair opportunity to programming for every client in the EPI program”.

According to family physician and UBC Site Director for Chilliwack Family Medicine Residency Program Dr. Alison Henry the “point of Care Ultrasound is a new modality that will allow family physicians to provide improved bedside care. We are very grateful to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation for purchasing the handheld ultrasounds on behalf of Family Doctors in Chilliwack.”
